No Cook Pizza Sauce Recipe

This quick homemade no-cook pizza sauce recipe uses just 7 ingredients. This rich and flavourful sauce is ready in just five minutes. Pizza nights just got a lot more delicious.

Equipment

  • 1 jug or use a bowl
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 set of measuring spoons
  • immersion blender optional
  • blender optional

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces plum tomatoes substitue chopped tinned tomatoes if you can't find Italian plum tomatoes
  • 1 garlic cloves Use more to suit your personal taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Measure everything into a bowl and use your immersion blender to blend it until it is smooth. It only takes a few seconds.
  • Taste a little of the sauce to make sure that it is well seasoned.
  • Store in a suitable container in the fridge until needed.

Alternative herbs and spices: You can substitute basil, thyme or marjoram for the oregano if you prefer. This sauce is also good if you add a few chilli flakes for a little heat. 
Storage:
After making the sauce, transfer it to a jar or bowl with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate it. It can stay fresh for up to a week, allowing you to enjoy homemade pizzas whenever you please. 
Freezing:
Freeze this sauce to use another time in a suitable container leaving enough room for the expansion of the liquid as it freezes. You may also freeze it in ice cube trays and use it to add flavour to soup or stew.
