A wonderful chocolate mousse made healthier by using avocados, cacoa and maple syrup.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 medium avocados, ripe
  • 1/4 cup oat milk milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 4 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Equipment

  • blender or stick blender
  • mixing bowl
  • measuring spoon
  • spatulas

Method
 

  1. Peel and de-stone the avocados. Roughly cut them into chunks and add to a blender.
  2. Add in the cacao, maple syrup and the milk of choice and blend.
  3. Once it is completely smooth - you may need to scrape down the sides to ensure that everything has blended nicely - stop blending and taste.
  4. If it is not sweet enough, add a little more maple syrup. If you'd like it more chocolatety then add a tablespoon more of the cacao.
  5. Decorate before serving with either chocolate shavings, or coconut cream and fruit. his dessert will last two or three days in the refrigerator.
